Locations

Wanaka Station Park

A park hidden amongst giant old mature trees, once occupied by a sheep station that covered the south side of the lake. This beauty of a park stretches out to the lake, with a pathway leading to the iconic ‘Wanaka Tree’ and follows all the way to Glendhu Bay. With plenty of space to gather your friends and family for a day picnicking at the park with your favourite lawn games.

An Old Tree- Lake Hawea

On a calm quiet sunny day this would have to be my all time favourite spot. Sitting on the top of the cliff overlooking the lake and the mountains, watching time stand still. It is like time stops for a few moments and in those moments you feel a little lighter. This spot is prone to high winds, so if you have had a beautiful day here it must of been your lucky day.

Jasons Clearing

JUST WOW! This little, not so little spot overlooks Dublin Bay and the outlet. Admire another side to Wanaka you may not have seen yet.

Directions are tricky but here is an idea how to get there. On google type in Bull Ridge, you will see it is a cul de sac with parking to one side. Walk up the hill and you will find the clearing and a lonely rock. Find your spot you want to call home for your next few hours of peace and set up your very own picnic
